Caracas, Zacara and Loro Piana were Saturday winners,
in a new qualifier round of the Gold Cup for the British
Open.
Lechuza Caracas got the day´s first victory as
they beat Atlantic Capital by a heavy 16-9. Following,
Zacara defeated Grayshurst 11-6 and Loro Piana got a
narrow 7-6 win over Cadenza.
Action will continue on Sunday, and the schedule is
as follows: Azzurra vs. Les Lions II (Stedham), at 12,30pm;
Sumaya vs. Brittany Polo (Lawns Grounds 1), at 3pm;
and Bucking Broncos vs. Lovelocks (Lawns Grounds 2),

Polo Cup, held at St. Tropez Polo Cup, has just begun, and
will have PoloLine exclusive coverage during next week.
Today´s results were as follows: La Campana 10 vs.
Antelope 7, and St. Tropez 9,5 vs. La Locura 7.
There will be one only match on Sunday, when Technomarine
meets HB, at 5,30pm.

Hurlingham Polo Association announced the handicap changes,
agreed at the mid-season meeting, on June 23. One of
the most important rises is Hilario Ulloa´s, from
6 to 7. Hilario has been finalist of the Queen´s
Cup with Sumaya and is one of the big stars of the current
UK season.
Changes will be effective on June 26, 2008.

Al Habtoor Polo Challenge Exhibition, was held prior
to the final of the Royal Windsor Cup, and played by
two teams from Al Habtoor Polo Club in Dubai, Mohammed
Al Habtoor and Rashid Al Habtoor. It was a very balanced
match, which ended tied 5-5.

Polo Tour Top-5, after the Queen´s Cup is
finished. Adolfo Cambiaso still remains in the first place
with 1612 points. He´s now followed by the Queen´s
Cup winner, and MVP of the final, Gonzalo Pieres Jr.,
who has 1204 points, which sent Eduardo Novillo Astrada
Jr. to the third place. After obtaining points as the
winner both the Prince of Wales Trophy, with Broncos,
and the Queen´s Cup as a substitute for Facundo
Pieres in Ellerston, Pablo MacDonough is now in fourth
position with 1118 units. And it´s precisely Facundo
who closes the Top-5 with 1087 points.

Queen´s Cup is Ellerston´s
June 15, 2008 - Ellerston
came stronger in the two last chukkas, and beat Sumaya
by a narrow 10-9 to obtain the first big title of the
UK season the Queen's. Ellerston´s Gonzalo Pieres
Jr. was named MVP, and Elaborate, a 6 years old bay
Mare, owned by Ellerston, and played by Pablo MacDonough,
took BPP honors.
Previously, the British squad, Apes Hill won the Subsidiary
Trophy after defeating Grayshurst 12-11, in extra chukka,
with a golden goal by Tom Morley.
June 13, 2008 - World
Polo Tour presents the players of May, Marcos Heguy
and Ahmed Aboughazale.
Marcos is the chosen one among the professionals, due
to his outstanding performance thoroughout the Queen´s
Cup with his team, Azzurra. Meanwhile, Ahmed, finalist
of the Queen´s Cup with Sumaya, is the amateur
